Resident care and well being is at the centre of everything we do at Walden Care. Our residents are considered family and our holistic approach will always prioritise their well being.
Not only are basic care needs met safely but we have a seven-day-a-week activity programme that is led by our residents to ensure that laughter, creativity and stimulation are part of daily life. These are held as large groups, small groups or one-to-ones, so that all residents are included.
We have very close links with local GPs and health care professionals. Our highly trained nurses are on hand 24 hours a day to ensure any nursing needs are met and unexpected medical issues are managed promptly, effectively and sensitively.
We recognise that making the decision to move into permanent care is a difficult one. We are here to help you make the right choice every step of the way.
You are welcome to visit and talk to staff as many times as you wish and will be able to choose your room that best suits you.
Once with us, we will ease the pressure of all care needs allowing you to enjoy our home cooked meals, activities and open visiting.
Living in our Homes provides often much needed support with activities of daily living in order to provide a safe environment to pursue life’s other interests. Our residents can expect that they will be cared for without impacting on their wishes of how to live their lives and are free to socialise and enjoy life to the full. Our Homes are set in beautiful countryside and all our staff are trained with the skills to ensure that you will always feel valued.
Our residents living with dementia will be supported and encouraged to make their own choices and continue to live a life with all their values honoured. Safety is a priority and with the knowledge of life histories, families and friends our residents with dementia will be enabled to live a fulfilled life. We will not only deliver exceptional care but also provide meaningful interaction in a beautiful, calm setting.
Family carers are incredible in the love and dedication they show to those they look after. However we recognise that the role, although fulfilling, can be tiring and a hard earned rest needed. We will provide that space and reassurance for a break to be taken for 2 weeks and over, as many times as felt necessary. Think of us as Home from Home as our staff get to know you and your family and you can rest assured.
