Care Assistant – Weekends

Salary: £12.50 (per hour)
Location: Broome Park
Hours: 12 Hour Shifts or Part-Time Positions Available

Walden Care invites exceptional individuals to join our day and night teams as Care Assistants at Broome Park Care Home in Betchworth. In this vital role, our commitment is to ensure the safety, happiness, and highest standards of care for our residents, fostering a community of warmth and comfort.

As a Care Assistant, your primary responsibility is to deliver care professionally and thoughtfully during any span of duty, ensuring the provision of a safe, effective, and efficient care service that meets the individual needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a champion for residents’ safety and dignity.
  • Maintain skills and knowledge, delivering care in accordance with the latest guidelines and best practice evidence.
  • Ensure ongoing safety through systematic assessment, monitoring, and reviewing processes.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records and communication systems related to clinical and care delivery.
  • Serve as a role model for good care governance practice.

Specific Duties:

  • Provide care in a respectful and dignified manner, respecting residents’ preferences and choices.
  • Deliver care in line with Walden Care Homes Policies and Procedures.
  • Work under the guidance of the Home Manager and Senior Care Staff.
  • Liaise with GPs and health professionals to ensure residents receive the necessary medical and clinical support.
  • Demand high-quality care delivery focused on individually assessed needs and choices.
  • Promote the professional image of services through excellent communication, appropriate behaviour, and professional appearance.
  • Complete all required Mandatory training and induction programs, training, and competency assessments.
