Care Assistant - Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 34.5/46 hour preferred - 6-day positions

Walden Care invites exceptional individuals to join our day and night teams as Care Assistants at Broome Park Care Home in Betchworth. As a Care Assistant, your primary responsibility is to deliver care professionally and thoughtfully during any span of duty, ensuring the provision of a safe, effective, and efficient care service that meets the individual needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a champion for residents’ safety and dignity.
  • Maintain skills and knowledge, delivering care in accordance with the latest guidelines and best practice evidence.
  • Ensure ongoing safety through systematic assessment, monitoring, and reviewing processes.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records and communication systems related to clinical and care delivery.
  • Serve as a role model for good care governance practice.

Specific Duties:

  • Provide care in a respectful and dignified manner, respecting residents’ preferences and choices.
  • Deliver care in line with Walden Care Homes Policies and Procedures.
  • Work under the guidance of the Home Manager and Senior Care Staff.
  • Liaise with GPs and health professionals to ensure residents receive the necessary medical and clinical support.
  • Demand high-quality care delivery focused on individually assessed needs and choices.
  • Promote the professional image of services through excellent communication, appropriate behaviour, and professional appearance.
  • Complete all required Mandatory training and induction programs, training, and competency assessments.
